3D monitoring

Drone construction monitoring: progress in view and in 3D

Document every phase of your construction project with periodic drone captures. Compare reality with the planning and the design, and keep all parties objectively informed.

What does construction monitoring involve?

We fly over your site at fixed times and make the same capture each time. The result is a time series of orthophotos and 3D models with which you see the progress, document phases and check execution against the design.

This gives you an objective and georeferenced file — useful for site meetings, communication with the client and any disputes.

Applications

  • Monthly or weekly progress reporting
  • As-built check against the design
  • Earthworks and volume balance during the works
  • Communication and marketing images of the project
  • Documentation at handover or dispute

Method

  1. We define the frequency and the fixed flight setup.
  2. Each capture is georeferenced with control points.
  3. We process into orthophoto, 3D model and possibly volume balance.
  4. You receive a periodic report or access to an online viewer.

What you receive

  • Time series of orthophotos and 3D models
  • Progress report per capture
  • Volume and difference maps
  • Online viewer or PDF report

Examples and applications

  • Monthly 3D capture of a new-build project
  • As-built check of a structural-work phase
  • Volume balance of earthworks during execution
  • Time-lapse and images for project communication
  • Documentation at provisional handover
  • Overview of an infrastructure site

Frequently asked questions

How often should flights take place?

That depends on the pace of the site. Monthly is common; for fast or critical phases it can be more frequent.

Can I share the images with my client?

Certainly. We deliver reports and possibly an online viewer that you can easily share.

Do you combine this with volume measurements?

Yes. Construction monitoring and volume measurement often go together, so you track both progress and earthworks.

Is this usable in a dispute?

Yes. The captures are georeferenced and dated, providing objective documentation.
