What is photogrammetry?
Photogrammetry turns hundreds of overlapping photos into an accurate 3D model. The software recognises the same point on several images and computes its position in space. The result is a dense point cloud, an orthophoto and an elevation model.
By measuring ground control points (GCPs) or flying with RTK/PPK, the model is true to scale and correctly georeferenced — exactly what you need for surveying and design.
Applications
- Terrain surveying and topography
- Orthophoto as a base layer for plans
- Volume calculation of soil and stockpiles
- Facade and roof captures of buildings
- Documentation of heritage and monuments
Accuracy
The accuracy depends on the flight height, the camera and the control points. Typically we reach a ground resolution (GSD) of 1 to 3 cm/pixel and a positional accuracy in the same order. We tailor the approach to the requirements of your file.
| Parameter | Typical |
|---|---|
| Ground resolution (GSD) | 1–3 cm/pixel |
| Positional accuracy | 2–5 cm |
| Georeferencing | Lambert 72 / ETRS89 |
