Coordinate systems: Lambert 72 and ETRS89

Why a survey must be in the right coordinate system, and what Lambert 72 and ETRS89 are.

A survey is only usable if it is in the right coordinate system — otherwise your data does not fit existing plans or maps.

Lambert 72

The classic Belgian projection system, used on most official plans and maps. For most surveys in Belgium we deliver by default in Lambert 72.

ETRS89

A European reference system, linked to GNSS measurements. It often forms the basis from which conversion to Lambert 72 is done.

Our approach

We adapt the system to your file and can convert between systems, so that your data fits seamlessly with existing plans.
